In his delectable Three Food Memories podcast, the catering entrepreneur breaks bread with his guests to discuss memories that reveal far more about themselves than simply the food they tasted
I hit my half century this year and am in the position of being able to look back on my journey and move ahead with confidence into the next phase of my creative pursuits.
I grew up around the Inner West and southern suburbs of Sydney before my parents moved our family to a farm on the New South Wales Central Coast. I came back to the city to finish high school and tertiary studies, making Surry Hills my home ever since. It’s family focused, street savvy, delicious and a short trip to everywhere. This community and the people in it have had an enormous impact on my career.
My inspiration comes from that place where people and food come together. Within that figurative space my mind runs wild and creation is biblical. In terms of how an average day in the studio unfolds, my days are atypical and while I do my best to get things done, I never know whether I will finish the day with origami or organic matter for the compost, figuratively speaking!
